Boiler repair & radiant heating in Stillwater, MN

Hot-water heat is quiet, even and built to last, but it takes someone who knows hydronic systems to keep it that way. We repair, maintain and replace boilers and radiant heat across the valley.

Signs your boiler needs attention

  • Cold radiators or floors

Some zones heat and others don't, or radiators are warm at the bottom and cold at the top.

  • Banging or gurgling

Kettling, knocking or trapped air in the pipes usually means a pressure, air or flow problem.

  • Pressure that won't hold

The gauge keeps dropping, or the relief valve is dripping or discharging water.

  • Leaks or puddles

Water around the boiler, at valves or under a radiator should be looked at before it gets worse.

  • It keeps locking out

A high-efficiency boiler showing error codes or needing to be reset is telling you something.

What we do

Residential and light commercial hydronic heating, from century-old radiator systems to new in-floor radiant.

Hydronic heat, explained plainly

Boilers heat water and pump it through radiators, baseboard or tubing in the floor. When something goes wrong, it's usually in one of a few places.

Common causes of boiler problems

Air trapped in the lines, a failing circulator pump, a stuck zone valve or a waterlogged expansion tank account for most cold-zone and noise complaints. Low system pressure, often from a slow leak, can shut a boiler down entirely. On high-efficiency boilers, a dirty burner, a clogged condensate line or a venting problem can trigger lockouts.

Repair, upgrade or replace

Older cast-iron boilers can run for decades, so a repair is often the right call. If yours is inefficient, leaking from the block or needs major parts, a modern condensing boiler can cut fuel use noticeably and take up a fraction of the space.

A combi boiler handles both heat and domestic hot water in one unit, which frees up room and removes a separate water heater. We'll walk you through whether that makes sense for your household.

What to expect on the visit

We check pressure, temperatures, pumps, valves, venting and controls, find out why the system isn't keeping up, and explain the options. Most repairs are finished the same visit when the part is on hand, and we confirm every zone is heating before we leave.

What affects the cost

Repair pricing depends on the part and how accessible it is. Replacement depends on boiler size and type, near-boiler piping, venting changes and whether you're adding zones or switching to a combi unit. Radiant projects depend on floor area and floor construction. You'll get a quote before work starts.

Common questions

Don't see yours? Call and ask. A real person answers.

Do you work on older radiator systems?

Yes. We service hot-water and steam radiator systems in older homes, as well as modern high-efficiency boilers.

Can you add radiant floor heat to one room?

Often, yes. Bathrooms, basements and additions are common. Whether it ties into your existing boiler or needs its own heat source depends on the system.

Is a combi boiler worth it?

For many homes, yes. It saves space and fuel by combining heat and hot water. We'll look at your hot water demand before recommending one.

My boiler pressure keeps dropping. Is that serious?

It usually points to a leak or an expansion tank problem. It's worth having checked soon, because low pressure can shut the boiler off when you need it most.
