HVAC maintenance & tune-ups in Stillwater, MN

The cheapest repair is the one you never need. Scheduled tune-ups catch worn parts in spring and fall, not on the coldest night of February.

Signs it's time for a tune-up

  • It's been over a year

If you can't remember the last tune-up, the system is probably due.

  • Bills creeping up

Dirty coils, filters and burners make equipment run longer to do the same job.

  • Uneven comfort

Hot and cold spots or weak airflow often come from issues a tune-up catches.

  • New sounds or smells

Small noises and odors are often early warnings of a bigger repair.

  • Frequent cycling

Equipment that starts and stops more than it used to is often struggling with airflow, dirt or a weak part.

What we do

Scheduled maintenance for homes and businesses, for heating and cooling equipment of any make.

  • Fall heating tune-ups

Furnaces, boilers and heat pumps checked and cleaned before heating season.

  • Spring cooling tune-ups

Air conditioners and mini-splits cleaned and tested before the first hot week.

  • Commercial maintenance

Scheduled service for rooftop units, light commercial HVAC and refrigeration.

  • Water heater flushing

Sediment removal and safety checks that help a tank last longer.

  • Filters & indoor air

Filter changes, humidifier checks and a look at the air quality equipment tied into your system.

What regular maintenance actually does

A tune-up isn't a quick look and a sticker. It's a set of checks and cleaning that keeps equipment safe, efficient and reliable.

What a heating tune-up covers

We inspect and clean the burners and flame sensor, check ignition, test safety controls, look over the heat exchanger and venting, check the blower and electrical connections, clear the condensate drain and confirm the thermostat is controlling the system correctly. On boilers, we also check pressure, pumps and valves.

What a cooling tune-up covers

We clean the outdoor coil, check refrigerant operation, test capacitors and contactors, inspect electrical connections, clear the condensate drain, check airflow and confirm the system is cooling the way it should. Mini-splits get their filters and indoor coils cleaned as well.

Why it pays off

Dirty, out-of-adjustment equipment uses more energy and wears out faster. Many no-heat and no-cooling calls start as a weak part that a tune-up would have caught. Some manufacturers also expect regular maintenance to keep warranty coverage in good standing.

It also gives you time to plan. If a tune-up shows a furnace or air conditioner is near the end of its life, you can price a replacement on your schedule instead of in an emergency, with the weather already against you.

How plans and pricing work

We set maintenance up around your equipment, whether that's one furnace or a building full of rooftop units and coolers. Call us and we'll explain what's included and what it costs for your setup.

Common questions

Don't see yours? Call and ask. A real person answers.

How often should my furnace and AC be serviced?

Once a year for each: heating in the fall and cooling in the spring. Commercial equipment often benefits from more frequent visits.

Do you maintain equipment you didn't install?

Yes. We maintain all makes and models.

Do you offer maintenance for businesses?

Yes. We service rooftop units, light commercial HVAC, walk-in coolers, ice machines and other refrigeration.

What does a maintenance plan cost?

It depends on the equipment you have and how often it needs service. Call us and we'll walk you through the options for your home or business.

Is there anything I should do between tune-ups?

Change or clean your furnace filter regularly, keep the outdoor unit clear of leaves, snow and plants, and call us if you notice new noises, smells or uneven heating and cooling.
